Details
Your headset’s mic is plugged in but isn’t picking up any sound, so others can’t hear you.
Caused By
- Headset connected to a USB 2.0 (black) port instead of USB 3.0
- Windows activation expired, which can disable certain audio features
Resolution / Steps
- Make sure your headset is fully plugged into a USB 3.0 port (usually marked with blue). Unplug it and reconnect if necessary.
- Click the Start button (Windows logo), type Sound Settings, and press Enter. Under Input, select your headset microphone and click **Test** to verify it’s working.
- If your microphone still doesn’t work or it’s damaged, go to helpdesk.elisha.ph and submit a ticket for a replacement or further assistance.
