Details

Your headset’s mic is plugged in but isn’t picking up any sound, so others can’t hear you.

Caused By

  • Headset connected to a USB 2.0 (black) port instead of USB 3.0
  • Windows activation expired, which can disable certain audio features

Resolution / Steps

  1. Make sure your headset is fully plugged into a USB 3.0 port (usually marked with blue). Unplug it and reconnect if necessary.
  2. Click the Start button (Windows logo), type Sound Settings, and press Enter. Under Input, select your headset microphone and click **Test** to verify it’s working.
  3. If your microphone still doesn’t work or it’s damaged, go to helpdesk.elisha.ph and submit a ticket for a replacement or further assistance.
