If you can’t open a shared folder using its IP address, follow these simple checks to get back to your files.

Details
The folder’s shared location won’t open when you enter its IP in File Explorer.
Caused By
- Incorrect IP address entered
- Your access permissions were changed
- No network or internet connection
Resolution / Steps
- Type the IP address exactly as provided (for example,
\\192.168.0.169\SharedFolder). - Make sure you’re connected to your office network or have an active internet connection.
- If you still can’t connect, go to helpdesk.elisha.ph and submit a ticket requesting folder access. Include the folder IP and your workstation location.
